Pool Heat Pumps

Pool heat pumps are ideal for pool owners located in warmer climates because pool heat pumps operate more efficiently in warmer climates where outside air temperatures are much warmer than normal since pool heat pumps do not generate or create heat, they are less subjected to thermal internal damage and wear than conventional gas-powered or electric pool heaters. Almost all pool heat pumps can be installed with automatic wired or wireless controllers, thereby giving a wider latitude in selecting pool heat pump heating capacities and pool heat pump installation locations. The main characteristics and benefits of pool heat pumps are their quiet operation, longer heating performance, and environmental robustness. Since all Sydney pool heat pumps have fewer moving parts than traditional pool heaters, they are less likely to break. And pool heat pumps operate more efficiently when they extract warm outside air because it increases and extracts more heat from the air by passing it through a compressor, warming up the pool water, and then delivering or pumping the heated water back into the swimming pool. Pool heat pumps are also a more efficient and environmentally-friendly way of heating swimming pool water because of its lack of dependence on non-renewable resources.

Pool Heat pumps are typically more expensive to purchase than traditional gas-or fuel-powered swimming pool heaters. They can be more expensive to purchase initially, but the savings they bring to the pool owner due to less or no fuel expenditures are significant to offset their initial investment costs, and heat pumps may initially cost more to purchase but they save money in the long run with higher pool heating efficiencies, lower annual operating costs, and fewer maintenance bills. Pool heat pumps are also safe with children around because they do not generate heat thereby avoiding potential heat injuries, only a small electric pump and compressor draws in warm outside ambient air to heat swimming pool water to its ideal warm temperatures, through proper use and installation, money is saved because pool heat pumps are typically maintenance-free and usually last longer than conventional gas- or electric-element pool heaters. They use electricity for air pumps to draw in warm ambient outside air, and pool water is circulated into a heating pump where the pool water is filtered and warmed-up before being pumped back into the swimming pool. Since pool heat pumps require time and warm ambient temperatures at the pool area to fully warm up a pool to ideal swimming temperatures, it typically takes 12-24 hours to completely warm up a pool using ambient air pool heat pumps.

Pool heat pumps are not the most efficient pool heating system in colder climates because the air temperatures in colder climates lack sufficient ambient air heat for a pool heat pump to work efficiently in warming swimming pool water. All pool heat pumps capture ambient heat from the air and they are the most energy-efficient pool heating equipment available for hot climates where ambient air temperatures are normally warmer than normal. Pool heat pumps are very efficient in maintaining a constant and even pool temperature in warmer climates, and all pool heat pumps work very well in warm or tropical-type climates, collecting heat from the air and converting it into warming the pool water. Energy costs and savings are considered when using pool heat pumps because there is no need to use propane or any fossil-fuels to heat the swimming pool water.
